We are grateful when people donate puppies to Secret Keepers, giving them a bigger purposes helping first responders in need. We are very selective when it comes to our puppies so when owners and/or breeders offer puppies for our program, we conduct a preliminary phone screening, followed by a hands-on evaluation to ensure they are a suitable fit.

Secret Keepers will consider many factors, including:

Sociability, trainability, confidence and a willingness to work

Calm temperament

Eight to twelve week old puppies only 

When full grown, the dog must be considered medium height and at least 30 pounds

In good health, with a full record of health history including proof of genetic testing and hip evaluation on dam & sire
