Steve driscoll

With 35+ years of dog training experience and 27 years as a firefighter/paramedic for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Steve Driscoll is no stranger to the power of dogs and their impact on first responders.  As a K-9 Specialist for FEMAs Urban Search and Rescue Team FL-T1 for 19 years, Steve has worked across the country with some of the best dog trainers and has also seen his fair-share of disasters and tragedy.  After 27 years, Steve retired from PBCFR, moved to Alabama, and started Pack Leader LLC. in 2021.  When approached about training service dogs for Secret Keepers, Steve didn't even take a moment to think about it, the answer was immediately "yes".

We couldn't ask for a better fit for our mission and are so grateful to have Steve training all our dogs!

In 2010, while on FEMAs Urban Search and Rescue Team as a K-9 Specialist for Floridas Task Force 1, Steve and the team was sent to Haiti to help aid in the recovery efforts after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake left their capital, Port-au-Prince devastated.

After 6 days of searching, Steves dog, "Blaze" alerted to a solid concrete wall where a 2 year old little girl was trapped in the rubble....alive.
